UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan, in his message published on the 101st anniversary of August 30 Victory Day, said, “August 30 is the declaration to the world that sovereignty will not be compromised”.
National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy Group Chairman, Nicosia MP Ahmet Savaşan, celebrated the 101st anniversary of August 30th Victory Day.
Ahmet Savaşan, “Victory Day is the highest expression of the Turkish nation's devotion to patriotism and independence, and the epic demonstration of the war capability of the heroic Turkish Armed Forces,” he said in a post on his social media account.

“Happy August 30 Victory Day to the great Turkish nation. Victory Day is the highest expression of the Turkish nation's patriotism and fondness for its independence; it is the epic demonstration of the war capability of the heroic Turkish Armed Forces. Victory Day is the indisputable proof of the qualities of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a commander and leader. Thanks to this victory won under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Turkish Nation has taken its place in the family of modern states and has declared and accepted to the whole world that it will not compromise its sovereignty. We respectfully commemorate the Great Leader Atatürk, our heroic martyrs and veterans who did not spare their lives for the sake of independence; may their souls rest in peace. Happy Victory Day.”
